The Chieftains Gathering Marquee is the focal point for all our invited guests during the day. Be part of our Gathering, catch up with old friends or meet new ones and enjoy some of the best Scottish hospitality.
By supporting this part of the event you will become included in our invitation discussions which are sent out to our Current Games Chieftains, Past Chieftains, Funding Partners and selected dignatories who wish to celebrate this ongoing traditional and cultural highland games event.
What does the Chieftain's Gathering look like at the Games?
It’s a full day of entertainment for all guests to enjoy. Come and go from the Gathering marquee as you please; watch the competitions from outfront which overlooks the games field; wander the traders village with over 40 traders on site; enjoy the creative arts on offer; network as you meet new and old friends.
A typical day may look like:
- Games site opens at 10:00 with access to Chieftains Gathering Marquee
- SHG President Welcomes his guests from 11:30
- SHG Secretary, Anne Donaldson is on hand to answer questions
- Stirling highland Games Chieftain officially opens the Gathering at 12:00 noon
- Past Chieftain’s Toast to welcome this year’s Chieftain into the Chieftains Clan.
- Hospitality from 11:30 until 13:30
- Chieftains Gathering Marquee closes at 17:00
